Score a Hyundai Rules
1. CONTEST PERIOD:
Contest begins on October 28st, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. PT and ends on March 15th, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. PT (the "Contest Period").
2. ELIGIBILITY:
The contest is open to all legal residents of Canada (excluding residents of Quebec) who have reached the age of majority in their province/territory of residence at the time of entry, except employees, representatives or agents (and those with whom such persons are domiciled, whether related or not) of AutoCanada Inc. (the "Sponsor"), its affiliated companies, dealers, prize suppliers, advertising/promotion agencies and the Contest judges (collectively, the "Contest Parties").
3. HOW TO ENTER:
There are three (3) ways to enter the Contest.
No Purchase Necessary: To obtain one (1) Entry in the Contest print your first name, last name, telephone number, email address, and signature on a plain white piece of paper and drop it off to: Victoria Hyundai, 525 Gorge Rd East, Victoria, BC, V8T 2E5, Attn: S. Munro. Upon receipt in accordance with these Contest Rules, you will receive one (1) Entry the random prize draw (see Rule 5). To be eligible, all mail-in entries must be post-marked during the Contest Period and received by no later than on March 14th, 2012. Sponsor takes no responsibility for any lost, stolen, delayed, illegible, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed mail-in no purchase necessary entry requests.
Or: To obtain one (1) Entry in the Contest visit http://www.victoriahyundai.com/promo/score-a-hyundai.htm and complete the form requiring your first name, last name, telephone number, and email address. Sponsor takes no responsibility for any lost, stolen, delayed, illegible, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed mail-in no purchase necessary entry requests.
Or: To obtain one (1) Entry in the Contest visit our Street Team which will be in and around the community during the contest period and complete a ballot. Sponsor takes no responsibility for any lost, stolen, delayed, illegible, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed mail-in no purchase necessary entry requests.
All Entries are subject to verification. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor) to participate in this Contest. Failure to provide such proof in a timely manner may result in disqualification. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid Entry in this Contest will be the Sponsor's official clock. The Releasees (defined below) are not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, delayed, incomplete, illegible, incompatible or damaged Entries (all of which are void).
4. THE PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES:
There will be six (6) random draws for the opportunity to participate in the Score a Hyundai with Victoria Hyundai. No substitutions except at Sponsor's option. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute the Prize or a component thereof with a prize of equal or greater value, including, without limitation, but at Sponsor's sole and absolute discretion, a cash award. Prizes will only be awarded to the person whose full name appears on the entry form (or, on the no purchase necessary entry request, if applicable). LIMIT OF ONE (1) PRIZE PER PERSON.
5. RANDOM PRIZE DRAW AND WINNER SELECTION:
The six (5) random draws will occur on November 11th, 2011, December 8th, 2011, January 30th, 2012, February 16th , 2012, and March 15th, 2012 (the "Draw Date") in Victoria, British Columbia at approximately 5:00 p.m. PT, one (1) eligible entrant will be selected by random draw from among all eligible Entries received in accordance with these Contest Rules. The winner will be contacted no more than twelve (12) hours prior to their opportunity to participate in Score a Hyundai with Victoria Hyundai. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries received in accordance with these Contest Rules.
The Sponsor or its designated representative will make a maximum of three (3) attempts to contact each selected entrant by telephone or email (using the information provided at the time of entry) within one (1) hour of the Draw Date. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted after the maximum three (3) attempts have been made, or within one (1) hour of the Draw Date (whichever occurs first), or if there is a return of any notification as undeliverable; then that selected entrant will be disqualified (and will forfeit all rights to his/her Prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to randomly select an alternate eligible entrant from among the remaining eligible Entries (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such new selected entrant).
Before being declared THE CONFIRMED winner, each selected entrant will be required to: (a) correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without mechanical or other aid; and (b) sign and return within prior to their participation in NEED CONTEST NAME which will occur no more than twelve (12) hours after the Draw Date of notification the Sponsor's declaration and release form, which (among other things): (i) confirms compliance with these Contest Rules; (ii) acknowledges acceptance of the Prize as awarded; (iii) releases the Contest Parties and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the "Releasees") from any and all liability in connection with this Contest, his/her participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of the Prize or any portion thereof; and (iv) agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of his/her name, address, voice, statements about the Contest and/or photograph or other likeness without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by the Sponsor in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet. If a selected entrant: (a) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; and/or (b) fails to return the properly executed Contest documents within the specified time, then he/she will be disqualified (and will forfeit all rights to the Prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to randomly select an alternate eligible entrant from among the remaining eligible Entries (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such new selected entrant).
6. GENERAL CONDITIONS:
All Entries become the property of the Sponsor. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. The decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal, including, without limitation, any decisions regarding the eligibility/disqualification of Entries, Eligible Purchases and/or entrants.
The Releasees will not be liable for: (i) the failure of any Entry to be received by the Contest Parties for any reason including, but not limited to, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website; (ii) the failure of a Number to be received in relation to an Eligible Purchase for any reason; (iii) any failure of the Website during the Contest; (iv) any technical malfunction or other problems relating to the telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; (v) any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in the Contest.
The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to withdraw, amend or suspend this Contest (or to amend these Contest Rules) in any way, in the event of an error, technical problem, computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor that interferes with the proper conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Rules. Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to cancel, amend or suspend this Contest, or to amend these Contest Rules, without prior notice or obligation, in the event of any accident, printing, administrative, or other error or any kind, or for any other reason.
By entering this Contest, each entrant expressly consents to the Sponsor, its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with his/her Entry only for the purpose of administering the Contest and in accordance with Sponsor's privacy policy (available at: http://www.autocan.ca/privacy-policy.htm), unless the entrant otherwise agrees.
